Detox

Saw this 3 days detox on the web, think I should try this out to get rid of the toxins in my body and also to get rid of my caffeine addiction.....

Day 1 – Start this first day by freeing your system from all of the toxins that have been built up. Start drinking a lot of water in the morning and throughout the whole day. If you want some taste, you can drink fruit juice, but be sure that it is 100% fresh with no sugars or preservatives. You could invest in a juicer for this. Breakfast should be fruit and wholegrain cereals. For lunch you can have vegetables, fresh salads, and even vegetable soups. Dinner can be something similar. You should not eat dinner later than six in the evening. The most important thing on the first day is to get plenty of vegetables and water into your system. You also want to exercise, such as a 45 minute fast walk or run.

Day 2 – You are halfway done already and it’s only the second day! Continue to drink a lot of water and avoid junk food, sodas, tea, coffee or alcohol. These are the things that have contributed to the toxins in your body in the first place. Your breakfast should consist of fresh fruit and water. For lunch you should have fresh salad and water. For dinner you can consume some steamed vegetables and lots of water.

Day 3 – This is the very last day of your 3 day detox program. You’ll want to continue to eat a lot of fruits. Also, you’ll want to drink plenty of water. You may feel hungry, but this is your last day. Your body is already getting rid of all those wastes and toxic materials. Stick with it and don’t try to over exert yourself. If you consume fresh vegetables for dinner, you are not going to have any bad cravings for the rest of the night.

Has anyone been through any detox program? Care to share?

Contraception Advice Needed

I have recently been taken off my oral contraception by my doctors because it inhibits my TB medication. 2000 new TB cases per year and one of them is me. Sian.

Anyway, I am really scared of the injection contraception, so was considering condoms. I was told that the injection have to go through thigh/butt = large needle. Also I find the dosage to be dubious because one injection lasts 3 months!

Right now we are on rhythm and I basically monitor my cycle but am still very worried about accidents because I don't want to get pregnant while having TB and being on TB medication.

So I have two questions:
1) Anyone experience side effects from taking the injection before? Would you still have your regular monthly menstruation or it comes once every 3 months?
2) My mum tells me that polyclinic pharmacy sells cheap condoms. Supposedly "no brand" ones. I only know where to get Durex from 7-eleven, but Durex "branded" and is like $1 per condom. I'm also worried that the info my mum provide me is super outdated because she had her menopause 5 years ago. Anyone got condoms from polyclinic before?

Hello everybody

I came across this challenge from my fellow blogger friend who had been contacted straight by this company that distribute laser and ipl machines.

They're doing a launch for a new body contouring and skin tightening machine and are inviting bloggers to participate in the challenge. They're offering free treatment trials using Exilis machine, in exchange for the bloggers to write about their experience on their blogs. The challenge is sort of like a competition, where in the end there will be an award ceremony to the participant with the most "successful" result.

Since I am currently expecting, sadly I cannot participate now but maybe I would consider going for it once I give birth hahaha to get rid of the flabs, if the bloggers say it really works! (though by then i guess it would not be free for me, might have to go to a clinic and pay for it sob sob)

I'm just spreading the word around to any of you who might be interested in participating.

They also post it on their facebook page http://www.facebook.com/innomedasia

Apparently this Exilis machine has been reviewed on US talk shows like The View and by a lot of magazines in the US.. i'm really really curious on whether it really works leh

I hope somebody here with a blog participates so that i can read your review about the treatment in the near future
