do u all think Diamond a must? for wedding band and/or engagement ring.

after reading up much on diamonds, i found that diamonds are just heavily monopolised, supply-controlled item, to achieve the high price. the so-called "sentimental value" and "diamonds are forever" was only created through vast advertisements starting from 1920s. "De Beers", "Blood Diamond" were some of the things that come across in my search for diamonds. no wonder although Africa prduces so many diamonds, yet it is one of the poorer countries in the world... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bleah.gif)
