i decided to start a dental braces thread here regarding about different clinic charges on braces (Like total cost, installment plan, intial payment, misc cost) and also whether the clinic has a orthodontist, and the dental clinic address, contact number

This thread is especially for those whom have a budget constraint and it also helps to ease the traffic of people asking the same question abt prices and whether the doctor is a specialist, which can be found in different pages

However as the current popular braces topic has more than 100 pages and for one to find abt the relevant braces package information can be quite taxing

There are also many dental clinic in singapore whom does braces too, therefore hoping to gather more information on them (especially from your friendly neighbourhood clinic)

Prices quoted here are just an "estimation" and may differ from inviduals. It is just to guide you along in your decision and has NOTHING to do with the skills of the dentist. Pls note that there are actually cases where the prices varies greatly from the ones listed below. Some clinics are more receptive to financial difficulties by the patients and hence able to be more flexible in downpayment and installments. Some make exceptions for certain patients.

For a more accurate information on dental prices, u are encourage to go for a consultation with ur dentist.

Dun be alarmed if ur orthodontist name is not inside the list as there are quite a few cases of this.
I emailed them abt this but they nv reply me so i am not sure whether it is a must for orthodontist to join this association

Usual Problems when putting braces
1) You need jaw surgery (optional)
2) gums/mouth cut by the wire (Use wax, safe to swallow btw)
3) get ulcers
4) Extractions of teeth (from 0-8) 8 is inclusive of 4 wisdom teeth
5) Need special toothbrush like inter dental brush (for brushing between the braces and the teeth)
6) Braces Stains (No 1 killer is curry)
7) Decay may occur under the brackets (So limit your sweet food)
8) Cannot close mouth totally due to placement of fake molars to avoid your teeth knocking
9) Losing of weight (Due to unable to bite hard food, or unable to bite well due to discomfort)
10) PAIN
11) Brackets will drop
