I wonder how many podders are in the same situation as me. I got my license back in 8 Jun 2010. It's been 1.5 years and I still haven't had the chance to drive myself around! I don't plan to buy a car cos it's too expensive and I can't afford the upkeep. I do have a family car but my dad is very protective of his car, plus it's a SUV so I rather not drive it. I ever tried driving it once in a carpark with my dad beside me but he kept yelling at me and criticizing my driving that I swore to myself I will never want to have anything to do with his car.

I'm very envious of friends or relatives who drive around in a car. Renting a car has been on my mind but the average rate is around 100/day. That's a bit too much for me.

So I was thinking if anyone is in a similar situation as me, we can form a group of 3-4 (1 of them has to own a car), and go on a car trip and go for a nice makan session, take turns to drive, and pay the car owner a nice token fee of say, $15-20 each. I'm just sad that I don't have a chance to maintain my driving knowledge after so long.
