I have been contemplating breast augmentation since I am 22 years ago. That is almost like 10 years ago. But knowing the risk and complications that might involve, I have postponed it for 10 years later which is now. After married and having two kids, I think I am ready to go for it. The below are my diary details of my BA day to my post recovery. Just to share my own personal experiences and opinions
For the choice of surgeon, 10 years ago I did visit the famous MH but not feeling very comfortable. I guess I am also too young to know if it’s a right decision then. 10 years later, now after tons of researching, knowing the possible outcome and being realistic that its not just a one time procedure. I decided to take the plunge and I have chosen Dr Andrew Tay. He is very patience and takes the effort to answer all my questions which is very important to me.
BA Diary- Day 1 (23/12/09):
Schedule for the surgery at 9.30am. Woke up at about 7.15am, wash my hair and body. Think I might not be able to shower for a few days (IMG:

Reaching the surgery centre, have to fill up the form. I have gotten to remove my nail polish. So the nurse gave me a bottle of nail polish remover.
At about 9am, Dr Andrew Tay came in and start to take photos of my pre-op photos, taking measurements of my boobies again and using a marker to note the spots
Surprisingly at this stage, I am not feeling the least nervous. In fact the day before, I can still sleep pretty well and not at all jittery. I have got a bottle of vitamin E, on top of this I already have my vitamin C. This might help faster recovery (I think!)
The surgery took place with me under GA. I got knocked out pretty fast and before I know it, the nurse and doctor called my name. Its all over. I don’t feel good at all, feeling giddy and my chest felt like it has been hit by truck! I have no strength for my arms. The nurse gave me milo and crackers which I am quite thankful as I have not been eating since 12am.
Dr Andrew Tay came and check on me. He wanted me to lift my arms up to stretch my muscles over the implants. Its must be one of the hardest thing to do next to pushing baby out during labour. Hahah
Upon reaching home, I pretty much knocked out for e next few hours. Sleeping a lot help to heal I guess.
I am can still pretty much walk around the house, the thing is getting out of the bed require assistance.
The medication does help, I dont feel much pain but very very sore (just like the soreness x 10) when you hit the gym
or for ppl who have breastfeed before, its like x 5 times engorement. My CC which is 275ml is reasonably well suited for my size..maybe that is why it doesnt hurt that much.
