Anyone have license?Auto or manual?

I just took my license like 8months ago and people had been commented that I should go for manual why opt for auto but I told them that I need focus when learning car so that's why I choose auto, people said auto useless and I cannot drive outside SG, is that true?I feel like taking another license again maybe next year for manual. Should I go for that?What you think?
