Hello everyone (IMG:http://www.flowerpod.com.sg/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I am currently pursuing a management diploma (with FinancialAcct/ManagerialAcct modules which I have already completed and aced both of them).
Recently, I am working full time sales assistant for my one-month holiday. One day, my boss actually contacted me and asked if I have any accounting background. I told her I am just a student with no accounting working experiences at all. What she asked of me is whether I know the basic of accounting which is the Principle of Accounting(the one taught in Secondary School) and I did. After which, she offered me a part-time assistant accountant job which will start next year January. She also know that I am a student and is willing to let me juggle between my studies and work providing that I can cope. Can I know if anyone here is an accountant or of related fields? I would like to know what is expected of this job. I have heard from others that some companies use software such as MYOB while the others are still using traditional methods (paper and pen).
