Dear All,

I encountered an accident on the morning of Labour's Day 1 May 09 at about 930am along the junction of Jurong West Ave 1 and Corporation Road. I was travelling straight along Corporation Road towards Boon Lay Way. The green light was in my favour at the junction. A taxi driver, apparently distracted by his handphone or something, decided to do a very late right turn straight into my path as I was about halfway through the junction. It was a head-on collision and my car was badly damaged.

I have just heard that the driver claimed in his statement that I had beaten the red light. My bf who was the passenger at that time can vouch that it was green light, not even amber light yet!!! But passenger's statement is not strong in this kind of dispute.

My car was completely smashed up and airbags were depolyed. My passenger and I managed to walk away from the accident but are suffering from chest pain and neck discomfort. My car is most likely going to be scrapped after this. Very traumatised by this incident....

Please, anyone who has witnessed the accident or lives around the area, near Jurong J.C. and the police post, help me to ask around if you or anyone you know witnessed the accident, please contact me. I just need you to sign, along with your name, IC and contact no., a simple statement such as "Green light was in favour of vehicle SGZxxxx at the time of collision."
